Addis Ceramics is a small pottery shop and private studio located in the historical Kendall Whittier District of Tulsa, OK.

The front room houses our pottery. In the back is the private studio where you can find Grant and Mariah making any day of the week.

Mariah Addis

Mariah is a full-time potter working in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received her BFA from Alfred University in 2019. Mariah established Addis Ceramics At the beginning of 2020. From functional pottery to more ambiguous forms, her craft is an assortment of symbolic and practical objects that co-mingle to perform in the important drama of dining.

Grant Akiyama

Grant is an artist, educator, and a strong advocate for craft. He received his BFA + BS from Alfred University in 2017. Since his graduation, Grant has exhibited throughout the US, Japan, and Spain.

We design and manufacture all our dishware with quality and durability in mind. Our pottery is formed by hand using techniques and materials that accentuate the handmade quality of each piece while also maintaining consistency and durability.

Our glazes are formulated in house by Grant Akiyama. Grant graduated from Alfred University in 2017 and has been studying glaze formulation for over a decade. All our glazes provide a beautiful canvas for a more thoughtful presentation.
